I just hate to admit this…and I feel like grey hairs are poking througheven saying it but… “comfort is now more important to me than style.”
I seem to have hit the age not where I no longer pine for shoes that are striking and fashionable. Oh no! The key quality for me is now “comfortable.” I am actually so obsessed with being comfortable that I had a huge wardrobe clear out last month and threw out (well, gave to charity!) any items that did not meet my picky standards. What I noticed was that many of my boot purchases went out into the charity bag leaving me with few options in terms of footwear. Leaving me with a conundrum: is it really that hard to find comfortable ladies boots?
My Quest For Comfortable Ladies Boots
My search began on the high street where I discovered that cheaper boots meant less comfort. After a whole day of pulling my hair out, I decided it was time to lookonline for my ideal comfortable ladies boots. There were a few brands that had been suggested to me previously. Whilst searching,I came across a website called Colton Footwear who seemed to stock many of the recommended brands. Their site promised comfortable and practical shoes that were stylish too. This ticked all of the boxes for me. The ones that caught my eye were some light brown/grey ankle boots from a brand called Rieker. They had stylish features such as rivets and a beautiful cut-out pattern. Yet the boots also looked wide fit, high quality and comfortable too.

The thing that I like most about the brand is that everythingRieker sells is made by Rieker.
Overall impression
Making a purchase on the Colton Footwear websitewas an easy process. I received an order confirmation email to indicate they had received myorder and another to signify that my order has been dispatched. I ordered my boots on a Wednesday afternoon and received the despatch email on the Thursday morning which was extremely fast. There were several options on the website for delivery with free delivery available for standard parcels. They also had an option where you could get a cheap rate on return postage which I thought was a nice touch too.

I opted for the return postage option just in case. However it was not needed. These boots are really the most comfortable that I have ever owned. You can tell the quality by the feel of the material and the craftsmanship involved. The best thing is that they were not too expensive like so many other designer boots.
