For nearly a hundred years, T-shirts have been an essential item, and one that virtually everyone has in their wardrobe. Both men and women wear them, they are popular with young and old alike.
T-shirts never completely go out of fashion, but the styling does change. In 2016, t-shirts are set to be even more popular than in previous years.
Black and white tees
The majority of the t-shirts we have seen in streetwear collections this year are black or white. Now we know that sounds boring, but in reality, it is not. This is because most streetwear designers have added bold logos and motifs to their 2016 t-shirt range.
Long sleeved t-shirts
They have mixed things up a bit by adding long-sleeved t-shirts to their 2016 collection. These also feature large bold motifs, with lettering that goes down the length of the sleeves. There are some great examples of this type of top in the Crooks and Castle’s tee’s collection from 5pointz.
Large and baggy
If you have put on a few pounds recently you will be relieved to know that the cut of this year’s t-shirts is generous. The figure hugging cuts of last year, that showed every lump and bump, are nowhere to be seen.
Layering with sweatshirts and long sleeved t-shirts
However, 2016 is not going to be all about t-shirts. Sweatshirts are set to become popular again.
Given the fact that the weather, in many parts of the world, is becoming more unpredictable this is a good thing. It is always handy to be able to slip on an extra layer when you need to. The long sleeve t-shirts are also great for this.
This year, all of the major streetwear brands have some great tees in their collections. Finding what you want has never been easier.
